We Will Always Come To You ..
When you are dealing with a dog’s behaviors, the training should be done in their territory. Many of the negative behaviors that we experience with our dogs are territory driven. Our dogs can be very different dogs when they are outside of their homes.
We’ve worked with hundreds of dogs that have already been through group classes. We’ve never heard of anyone who needed a group class after they’ve gone through our home program.
You’ll Receive Unlimited Sessions ..
Nobody can predict how many sessions it will take to train your dog. Everyone works at different paces and every dog works at a different pace. The point is to get you through the curriculum, not to do a set number of sessions.
You’re Never On Your Own .. We Provide Lifetime Support ..
Our goal is always to help you quickly and to get through the program in as short a time as possible. Nobody wants their dog training to be endless. But even after we have finished the sessions, we will always be there for you for questions, advice and general support for as long as you own your dog.
Documentation On Our Entire Program Is Included ..
With a lot of trainers, you might be lucky to get a handout. It’s not realistic to think that we are going to remember everything that is discussed during the sessions. We have our entire program online and all of our clients receive access to it. It contains documentation on more than 60 topics in 12 different categories.
We’ll Address Every Aspect Of Your Dog’s Behavior ..
Our dog training programs always start with leadership. When you have elevated yourself in a natural way, that your dog understands, everything comes easier. You won’t need to use any rough methods like choke chains or shock collars to get them to respond to you.
We’ll teach basic and advanced obedience training. There are generally ten different commands that are needed to help guide your dog. They include sit, down, come, stay, look at me (eye contact), be nice (bite inhibition), drop it, leave it, wait and go to your place.
We will address correction training and methods. We need to understand how to get some power during a correction without being rough or physical. There are methods that you can work with your dog to get them to respond even under distraction and still keep it positive.
We’ll get your dog under control on the leash by addressing leash training and manners on the walk. We’ll help you teach your dog to heel at your side and sit when you stop without choke chains or rough methods. We want you and your dog to enjoy a walk.
We address social manners to help you get control of your dog during social interactions like greetings, doorbells, during meals and when we have guests in the home.
We’ll also help you with any type of behavior modification that is required. We work with dog aggression, separation anxiety, excessive nervousness or fear, excessive energy and any other type of behavior that your dog is exhibiting.
Puppy Training ..
Our puppy training program includes everything mentioned above as well as all of the skills that you’ll need to raise a good puppy. Our program is meant to help you develop the skills and tools to take you through your puppy’s entire life. We’ve never sold a puppy program and then come back and tried to sell an adult dog training program. You won’t need it.
Our Dog Training Curriculum:
Our training always starts with leadership. We have no interest in using the rough methods that a lot of other trainers use. We don’t want to yank your dog around on a choke chain or apply shock to your dog. Those methods are taught by trainers who either don’t understand leadership or are looking for a shortcut to better behaviors.
The truth is that when you use choke chains or shock collars, you are not establishing any leadership with your dog, you’re using pain and intimidation. That doesn’t lead to a healthy relationship with them and it doesn’t build any leadership with them.
Once we have established the leadership exercises, we then cover:
Basic and Advanced Obedience Commands .. including sit, down, come, stay, drop it, leave it, look at me, be nice (bite inhibition), wait, go to your place, etc.
Proper Correction Techniques .. We’ll teach you how to get some power during a correction without being rough or physical with your dog.
Control Methods .. Our ultimate goal is verbal control using our commands, but we need methods to control our dog’s behaviors while we are building that verbal control. We’ll give you those methods in the first session.
Leash Manners .. Loose leash on the walk, paying attention to you. No more pulling you down the street or barking or lunging at everything that passes by.
Social Manners .. We’ll help you get their behavior under control during greetings, when you have visitors in your home, during meals and out in public.
Any Other Behavior Modification That Is Needed .. Whether you have a puppy or an adult dog, we can help you curb the negative behaviors and develop new, positive behaviors in their place.
Leadership based training, working in your home and a comprehensive curriculum are the keys to how a successful dog training program should work. That’s how our program works and it’s the reason we’ve been successful for so many years.
